Expo Americas – Bringing a Community Together

Hispanic Heritage Month may still be five months away, but there’s no reason to put off making plans to celebrate and participate in what is poised to be a month long celebration of a rich culture and history. With this in mind, Expo Americas has worked spiritedly to bring together the most prominent figures in the Kansas City community in order to make this years Hispanic Heritage Month, one of the most memorable and visible celebrations of Hispanic culture in recent memory.

Everyone from Kansas City, Missouri Mayor, Sly James (read his letter of endorsement here), as well as Union Station to longtime fixtures in the Latin community such as Dos Mundos Newspaper, HEDC (Hispanic Economic Development Corporation), and radio stations La Grand 1340 AM and La X 1250AM, have thrown their full support behind Expo Americas in order to ensure that September 15th, 2012 is a kickoff to Hispanic Heritage Month that Kansas City, and people everywhere will remember for long after the festivities have wrapped up at Union Station. We invite you, your friends, family, and businesses to join the growing list of people and companies that will be taking part in this years Expo Americas, taking place September 15th-16th at Union Station.

Expo Americas Comes to Kansas City!

Expo Americas is a unique, grassroots two-day event that offers an opportunity to reach the Latino consumer or entrepreneur as well as the general public. The one-of-a-kind event gives individuals, businesses, organizations and corporations a direct connection to the fastest growing market segment in the country!

WHO WILL ATTEND?

Families, entrepreneurs, business executives, industry professionals, community leaders, educators and service organizations – coming together to sample products, access services, enjoy top entertainment and celebrate the vibrant and growing Hispanic culture.

Expo Americas builds on the past success sixteen years ago a group of local Kansas City business owners organized a one-time event called the Hispanic Economic Awareness Expo. That event was attended by nearly 27,000 people at the Kansas City Market Center. Its success has not been duplicated since, until now, as Expo Americas reunites several of the original organizers in the same spirit to bring a new bigger event to fruition! From Omaha to Oklahoma City and Denver to St. Louis, Expo Americas will reach a regional audience creating a unique and unprecedented experiential Hispanic event for years to come!
